An Louis XVI pendule. This model is rare because of the strong facade and looking at the base you see detailed gilded relief showing 4 cupids with different disciplines heating up the fire for activating the symbol of a burning heart. On both sides two Egyptian inspired caryatides. And on top a cupid heating up the fire. The enabled dial is typical LOUIS XVI with Arabic numbers and blue written signature. It has a 8 day bell striking movement, silk threat suspension and anchor escapement. The base exist out of white marble and is on top of a black marble plateau carried by four gilded bun feet, from the sides it is beautifully decorated with guirlandes.
