Description
A good French Louis Seize ormolu mounted glazed mahogany regulator.
Enamelled dial with black Arabic numerals. Signed ‘Gavelle L'ainé A Paris’. Finely gilt pierced and engraved hands. Blued sweep seconds hand. Movement with pinwheel escapement mounted on the back plate. Countwheel striking on a bell, heavy steel suspended pendulum with brass bob.
Mahogany case with ormolu mounting on frieze. Glass door with brass gilt surrounding.
