Description

12-cm engraved pewter dial with Roman numerals and foliate centre, foliate pierced and engraved hands, day going spring driven movement with standing barrels, verge escapement and front pendulum with sunburst bob, trip repeating rack half hour striking on a bell, mounted in the belly of a carved parcel gilt wood bird with spread feet and wings, on a rococo base with scroll feet. The bird could be a representation of the mythical Phoeniks.
