25-cm polychrome painted convex dial with Roman numerals, brass diamond shaped hands, flower spandrels and in the arch flanking the door for the cuckoo, 30-hour weight driven wooden movement with anchor escapement, countwheel half hour striking on a bell in combination with cuckoo and pipes, wood case with doors to the sides, suspension hoop and spurs.
Cuckoo clocks are usually made in a chalet style. This clock a so-called Lackschilduhr (painted dial clock) with cuckoo is the earlier and much more rare type.
